How do you create a bulletproof warrior mindset that will help you overcome even the toughest obstacles?π
Our minds are incredibly powerful and it is the one thing we hardly ever learn to fully utilize. Often people think that understanding the mind and working on mindset is esoteric or woo-woo, but there is a lot of science behind it.
There are loads of research showing that the mere perception of being threatened or in danger, triggers a physiological response in the body – the typical fight or flight response. The danger does not have to be real. Your body responds, because your brain can’t tell the difference between what is real and what is not.
πIt’s our thinking and fear about what might happen, that causes the physical response. They way you think influences your bodies reaction.
Stress is a great example of this. When we experience stress the body generates a tremendous amount of energy (to prepare for the fight or flight). We may experience stress at work through tough deadlines, co-workers we don’t like or a boss that does not appreciate us.
When we experience stress the adrenal cortex releases the stress hormone cortisol. While this happens our immune system is suppressed.
Many studies have documented the harmful effects of prolonged stress – high blood pressure, fluctuation in blood sugar levels, heart problems, skin rashes and a myriad of other physical ailments. Stress (they way we think about a situation) makes us physically ill. So then it follows that if we change our thinking, then our thinking should also be able to heal us.
We need to harness that energy the body produces in a way that is useful and beneficial to us.
How we express our energy is the key to creating that warrior mindset.
We express our energy through
1. Thoughts
2. Feelings
3. Words
4. Physical activities
We have the ability to manage all of the above when we combine it into a structured daily program. To address all four areas, a daily program should include:
π meditation
π controlled vizualisation
π intense love
π gratitude (joyful)
π the right language (positive and uplifting)
π right aligned action
Are you using any of the strategies above and how are they working for you?
